Just for kicks I decided to check Nassau ticket availablity and got 2 tix together Row 10 on the floor!!

Last week (when I bought my tix) I got section 217 as best available - what the Eff is up with that? How do I trade in my 217 tix for row 10 on the floor??

Same exact price too

Same EXACT thing happened to be but with the albany show. I was supper pissed and the venue box office told be i could not trade them in.
But it is worth mentioning that as soon as the show started alot of people moved down to the floor, or to a closer spot. seating was enforced at all.

This is what I experienced with the Denver show. All the good seats were sold out in 20 minutes. I was in a meeting and could not get online to buy tix. When I did it was all behind the stage. However, I kept checking every few days and after a month (literally) great side section seats popped up so I snagged them (wish they were floor seats like you though...).

I think this is part of the whole scam that's being discussed these days about the promoter/bands/venues being cahoots and saving the best seats for auction sales. I bet the auctions aren't going that well and they're releasing the tix back. So, if anyone is still thinking about getting a ticket I say....

KEEP TRYING!!!!. e

Although I have seen the ticketmaster disclaimer to keep checking even after the show is sold out (some additional seats may come up) this is the first time I ever heard anyone seeing it in action. My "guess" is now that ticketmaster is in bed with various other ticket services and now allows people to sell the tickets back to them you may have seen someone's returns.

That is what I am thinking - 4 tries and I got row 10, row 8, & row 11 on three of them.

OK - I'm going to take deep breath and not worry about it.

Why did I even bother checking?

Still no tix at all for MSG - but apparently plenty for Nassau!

The word on the street was that Branford would play one of the NJ gigs. Not sure if that is confirmed

You are not going crazy, this is the little secret deal TM has with Brokers.......When the stove cools off and the demand is down, tickets get pushed back through TM from the various Brokers......

It just happened with Phish for Alpine, when someone at a forum posted that tix are back up.....Sure enough, Hundreds of Pavillion seats reappeared on TM for Face well after it was Sold Out.....

I got my 5-5 Dead ticket the same way....A month after the show was sold out, they reappeared back on TM.....I walked to my local outlet and walked out with a good seat for Face..

The industry is so unregulated that I don't think there is an answer to why this takes place...

But yes, they say on TM website to check back often as the show gets closer....

SOMETHING TO REMEMBER: TM OWNS 2 BROKER SITES, TICKETSNOW & TICKETEXCHANGE (they scalp their own tix)

WTF!?! "Unregulated" you say!?! Another fine example of the mess that Ronnie and the Repubs have gotten us into!!!

Jesus-frickin-Holy-Ghost!

Er...okay...alright--wrong rant...

But, maybe they did have something to do with it...

Dianne Feinstein was gonna stop this kind of bullshit after she saw the scalpers hawking Obama's Innauguration tickets for thousands of dirty dollars on EBAY and Stubhub.com.

TicketMaster is just a rackateer influenced corrupt organization. Concert promoter Bill Graham and his artist friends were gonna back a ballot initiative to outlaw the unathorized resale of tickets at increased prices. The bands got none of that extra money. Uncle Bobo died in 1991. Sometimes I doubt that his helicopter flying into a PG&E tower on Highway 37 was really just an accident.

We have been getting fucked over since then. Reagan was gone in 1989. It sounds like Feinstein isn't gonna do anything until they scalp Obama tickets the second time in 2012. The Democrats don't don't give a shit, and sadly enough the Garcialess Dead doesn't either...

Every once in a while I remember that Graham's club Wolfgang's was fire-bombed after he criticized Reagan with a New York Times ad.

It's odd that Ronnie still has a rep. He even pushed the launch of the space shuttle so he could talk to a teacher in space during his State of the Union. His astrologer must have missed that a 'Challenger' to the Heavens that day was not a good idea.

I don't blame him for protesting that SS Bitberg cemetary shit in 1987 either. It has nothing to do with a helicopter crash in 1991 and the subsequent dissolution of the Bill Graham Presents enterprise.

We've been getting a royal fucking ever since. The Fillmore, Warfield, Shoreline, Sleeptrain, Concord Pavilion and Mountain Winey became a part of the Clear Channel monoploy. Bill Clinton did nothing about this. Bush Jr sure didn't either; because he sold his Texas Rangers baseball team to that same bunch of Republikans in San Antonio. And they bring you assholes like Michael Savage, whose loudmouth is heard on several right wing AM stations around northern California...

Thanks for the info - I could find no way to upgrade my tix through Ticketmaster, if there is a way I'd love to know about it. Maybe I'll get to show early and try to upgrade at the Box Office.

I just called TM . . .what a scam. These floor tickets 'become available' even though regular real paying customers are not allowed to exchange or get refunds - I guess only scalpers can get refunds and/or exchanges.

Live and Learn - I guess I'll just have to hop the rail to get on the floor like in the old days!!
